Karu is a concept study from made.: a story-first marketplace for handcrafted Indian art. This page explains, in plain words, what karu.made-by-ac.com collects and what we do with it. In short, nothing.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us. The site itself has no forms, accounts or analytics.
- If you email us, we receive your message and your address. Email providers have their own privacy terms.
What we do not do
We do not use advertising trackers, we do not run analytics on this site, we do not build profiles of visitors and we do not sell or rent anyone's details.
What the site stores in your browser
This site does not set cookies and does not store anything in your browser.
Who handles it for us
A few providers process data so the site works. They act on our instructions:
- Vercel hosts the website. Like any host it processes standard request data (IP address, browser, pages requested) in server logs. Its servers can be outside India.
- The artwork photographs come from Unsplash and are delivered through our host, so your browser does not contact Unsplash directly.
How long we keep it
We only hold what you email us, for as long as we need it to reply. Ask and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it, by writing to thebrain@made-by-ac.com. We reply ourselves. If you are in a country with data protection rights of its own, those apply too and we will honour them.
Changes and contact
If what this site does with data changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Questions, requests and complaints go to thebrain@made-by-ac.com.
